There are a lot of things dogs do that don't always make the most sense to us. They choose strange places to dig, interesting toys that aren't really toys, and some foods scare them so much that they have no interest in going near them.

But some pups face that initial fear and decide that trying something new would be a good thing. We see that play out in this video of an irritable cream Mini Dachshund who was wary of cucumbers but faced her fears. Take a look!

TikTok user @mollytheminii shared a video of a Mini Dachshund who came face-to-face with a cucumber for the first time, and she wasn't sure what to make of it. Her parents put it on the floor; she knocked it over, then grew wary of coming near before braving up and going to town on the slices her mama got for her.

In the caption, we learn that Molly was initially nervous about what that strange green food was. But in the end, she ate up every bite and had a puppy smile on her face the whole time. Molly's adorable face charmed people in the comments. And they loved that she was brave enough to face her fears about the green, healthy food and willing enough to try it. Good job, Molly!

Is Cucumber Safe for Dogs To Eat?

Molly is such a cute little charmer! And seeing her react to this cucumber is so perfectly silly, it's easy to fall in love with her. And it's great that she's trying the cucumber for the first time, since they're good for dogs to eat.

According to the American Kennel Club, cucumbers are "safe for dogs to eat" and can be a great addition to their snack rotation for their nutritional value, taste, and that crunch pups love. Another bonus is the high water content in cucumbers, which makes them a good option for the summer months.

Molly came around to the taste and texture of the cucumber by the end of the video, so it's got her seal of approval!
