Fluffy Persian Cat Decides the Best Nap Spot Is Headfirst Under the Recliner
Cats are creatures of comfort, and when they find a space that they love to hang out in, it's safe to assume they'll be found there several times over. Yes, even if it's a questionable spot that doesn't make sense to us.
We see that happen with this silly but charming Persian cat who decides the best nap spot is headfirst under the recliner. Yes, with his belly up, too.

TikTok user @biscotti_and_figaro shared a video of Figaro, a silly and adorable Persian cat who was feeling sleepy. That's not unusual for a kitty, of course, but where Figaro decided to take his nap was what surprised people.
He's in the middle of the floor, with his head tucked under the big chair, which is interesting enough because that's a weird place for sleep. But what makes this clip funnier is that Figaro is sleeping on his back, belly up, with his head tucked under the chair. He's not hiding from anyone or protecting anything vital about himself while he sleeps. His parents don't even know what could be lurking under there, which is hysterical.

In the comments, others had a fun time trying to figure out what Figaro's point was, sleeping like this. Some comments included, "He's fixing the couch carburetor," "He's comparing himself to the other dust bunnies under the couch," "That fluffy belly," "LOL, those pants," "Omg, stop that's so adorable," and "I want to be this cat in my next life.

How Much Do Cats Sleep Each Day?
I'm not convinced Figaro is really asleep here because what he's doing is just so silly and looks anything but comfortable and cozy. But cats do love to sleep, and according to the experts, they sleep a lot.
Purina UK explains that an average cat will sleep between 12 and 18 hours each day, which is about two or three times more than we get in a typical 24-hour period.
Figaro can sleep anywhere he wants, and really, the fact that he's so comfortable sleeping belly up with his head under a chair shows how much safety and love he feels. That's beautiful.
