Sleeping Labrador Retriever Hilariously Fails at Guard Dog Duty With a Very Delayed Response

Chasity Underwood and her husband's dog, Soul, is a silver Labrador Retriever who prefers napping over acting as the home's watchdog. Earlier this month, Dad decided to put his guard dog skills to the test, and Soul failed, although we'll give him an A for at least waking up.

The video begins with Soul snoozing in the couple's bed. He's getting that good sleep; he's sleeping on his back legs in the air, without a care in the world. Dad bangs on the bedroom door and shouts, "Hey!" Soul stirs, but not with any sense of urgency. When he looks over and sees Dad standing in the doorway seconds later, he finally lets out a big bark and hops off the bed before Dad tells him, "It's too late!" and calls him a failure. At least he's a cute one!

People left some laugh-out-loud funny comments about Soul waking up and realizing he should be barking instead of snoozing. @Redd_Bonee31 got more than 100,000 likes when they shared, "'Oh sh*t, roof roof or whatever they said to do' LOL!" @Adrianna added, "Let me stretch, then bark."
