Awards & Achievements for Dec. 27

▪ Queen Rebekah Schuh will represent the Benton Franklin Fair & Rodeo during the next year. The 18-year-old daughter of Travis and Sarah Schuh of Connell earned the title at the 2015 annual Benton Franklin Rodeo Queen pageant.

Schuh won the horsemanship, speech, interview, photogenic and congeniality divisions of the competition. Runners up were Aubrie Docken and Madeline Rowse.

In the year ahead, Schuh will represent the fair at parades and rodeos throughout the Northwest. She will also speak at many local clubs and service groups as an ambassador of the 68th annual Benton Franklin Fair and Rodeo.

Schuh is a freshman at Columbia Basin College, studying business administration. She is a certified therapeutic riding instructor-in-training and teaches riding lessons to special needs children. She has been active in 4-H, FFA, horse shows and trail competitions for many years.

▪ Noah Williams of West Richland recently completed his Eagle Scout project. He helped design, plan, get resources for and build a pergola for the West Richland Community Gardens at Yellowstone Trail Park. Williams is a leader in Troop 190 in Richland and has completed all 22 merit badges.
