In Service for Nov. 8

▪ Army Spc. Allen “A.J.” Hill was promoted to sergeant Sept. 1. He is with the 129th E.O.D. Co. 3rd Ordnance Battalion stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

A.J. is a 2010 graduate of Connell High School and joined the Army in August 2011. He is the son of Madge and Richard Hill of Richland.

▪ Army Pvt. Luis F. Gutierrez has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

Gutierrez is the son of Paula J. Escobar of Outlook.

He is a 2015 graduate of Sunnyside High School.

▪ Air Force Airman 1st Class Estrella Gomez graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in Texas.

Gomez is the daughter of Brisa Murillo of Yakima, Guadalupe Tejeda of Pasco and Modesta Tejeda Gomez of Ephrata.

She is a 2012 graduate of Southridge High School, Kennewick.
