In Service for Oct. 25

Gabriel York of Pasco, a graduate of the Running Start program at Columbia Basin College, completed basic military training for the Air Force on Aug. 28 at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

He was named honor graduate of his training class and is studying to become a Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE) instructor.

He is the son of Kris and Phil York of Pasco.
