Evelyn and Donald Stumetz

Evelyn and Donald Stumetz of Richland celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Oct. 3 at the Apostolic Christian Church in Richland, where they are active members.

They were married Oct. 10, 1955, in Los Angeles. They have lived in the Mid-Columbia for 10 years.

Donald served in the Marine Corps in Yermo, Calif.

They owned and operated Nu Look 1 Hour Dry Cleaners in El Cajon, Calif. They both retired on May 1, 2000, from the dry cleaning business.

Evelyn played the piano and organ regularly for the church.

They have five children: Dana (Larry) Smick of Bremerton; Tim (Beth) Stumetz of Richland; Steve (Tara) Stumetz of Lakeside, Calif.; Paula Buck of Richland; and Scott (Patti) Stumetz of Portland.

They have 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
