Jackie and Art Blum

Jackie and Art Blum of Kennewick celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and members of their wedding party on July 5 at Anthony's restaurant in Richland. They also will celebrate with an Alaskan cruise with their children and grandchildren.

They were married July 7, 1964, in Spokane. They moved to the Mid-Columbia in 1965.

Jackie was a registered nurse in long-term care. She retired from Life Care Center in Kennewick in 2010. She was a Campfire leader and a volunteer for Team Read.

Art worked for KONA Radio for 42 years as an announcer, salesman and engineer, retiring in 2007. He currently works part time as a broadcast engineer for Northwest Public Radio at Washington State University. He is a member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers and has worked with the Miss Tri-Cities Pageant for 49 years.

They are members of Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Kennewick.

They have two daughters, Lisa Swanson of Pullman and Julie Blum of Seattle.

They have three grandchildren.
