Myrene and Ron Northey
Myrene and Ron Northey of Kennewick celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a trip to Costa Rica.
They were married on Nov. 20, 1957, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Ron was stationed in the Air Force in Massachusetts where they lived at the time. They lived in Yakima and Walla Walla before moving to Kennewick more than 40 years ago.
They recently attended the last graduating class of Yakima High School during their 60th class reunion.
Myrene was a merchandise assistant for JC Penney at the Columbia Center mall in Kennewick. She is a member of Rambling Rovers, Tri-Cities Cancer Guild and Beta Sigma Phi. She enjoys playing bridge, oil painting, photography and loves to travel.
Ron retired as a salesman from Empire Rubber and Supply Company in Pasco. He volunteers for Meals on Wheels, is an usher and works with the bicycle ministry at Hillspring Church where they are members.
They both enjoy making jewelry, love to rockhound and are members of the Lakeside Gem and Mineral Club.
They have three daughters, Pamela Johnson Northey of Vancouver, Wash., Jenna and Andy Higley of Kennewick and Christy and Brad Ferguson of Kennewick.
They have six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
