Anniversaries
Jeanne and Ken Colvin
Jeanne and Ken Colvin, of Pasco, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with family and friends on Aug. 12 and 13.
They were high school sweethearts and were married Aug. 10, 1957, at the Lutheran Church in Troy, Idaho, one year before Ken graduated from the University of Idaho. Over the next years their family moved every two to three years thanks to the U.S. Army and the Ken’s work in retail at J.C. Penney Co. They came to the Mid-Columbia in 1972 when Ken took a job at Grigg’s Department Store in Pasco. Later Ken went on to be an agent for Farmers Insurance Company. He retired in 2001 after 25 years.
Jeanne is a homemaker and has been involved with her kids’ activities, which included many PTAs, 4-H clubs and county fairs.
They are members of the Kennewick First Presbyterian Church, and the Pasco Senior Center.
They have four children, Susan (Ken) Pelton of Spokane; Peggy (George) Konzek, of Vancouver; David (Karen) Colvin, of Spokane and Gayle (Steve) Verschoor of Boise, Idaho.
They have 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
