Elizabeth and Richard Miller

Elizabeth and Richard Miller of Kennewick celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Nov. 5 with two hours of memories at the same church where they were married, the First United Methodist Church in Kennewick.

They were married Nov. 16, 1956.

Elizabeth is a graduate of Barnard College/Columbia University. She worked for Henry Holt Publishing Co., the Juilliard School of Music, as secretary for the Spokane Chamber of Commerce, secretary for Kennewick First National Bank, reference librarian at the Mid-Columbia Regional Library-bookmobile, and secretary and manager of the Mid-Columbia Symphony. She also volunteered as a PTA president at Eastgate Elementary and with the Mid-Columbia Symphony Guild.

Richard graduated from Kennewick High School and served in the Navy. He worked for Consolidated Freightways, Umapine/Wilbur Ellis and farmed in Block 16. He volunteered for the city of Kennewick Board of Adjustment.

They have three children, Sarah Miller Baugh and Andrea “Tandy” Doyle of Kennewick, and the late Betsy Miller.

They have five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
