Kennewick police say death of 20-year-old doesn’t appear suspicious, cause of death being confirmed
Kennewick police say the death of a 20-year-old man found unresponsive in a car Saturday morning doesn’t appear suspicious, but authorities are working to determine the cause of death.
Jesse Cooper was sleeping in a vehicle parked on the 1000 block of West Fourth Avenue in Kennewick. At about 6 a.m. Saturday, friends living in an apartment nearby moved the vehicle, and Cooper didn’t wake up when they tried to rouse him, police reported.
The friends called 911 and started CPR.
Kennewick Fire Department medics arrived and tried to revive Cooper, but couldn’t.
“(Cooper’s) death does not appear to be suspicious; the cause of death is being confirmed,” a police news release said.
