Yakima County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man who they say is “most likely armed and is to be considered violent and extremely dangerous.”

The search stems from a reported assault around 12:20 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of North Track and Winaway roads, roughly midway between Wapato and Toppenish.

A responding deputy stopped two men, ages 28 and 30, and a woman, 29, in a vehicle spotted leaving the home where the assault took place, according to a news release issued by the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office. The news release did not include any details on the alleged assault.

While one of the men was being arrested, the deputy discovered he was carrying a firearm, the news release said.

The second man resisted arrest and escaped after running into a vineyard, the release said.

A number of firearms were discovered in the vehicle and the case is likely connected to additional crimes, the release said.

Deputies said man they are searching for is Francis “Frank” White.

“Be advised he is most likely armed and is to be considered violent and extremely dangerous,” the release said.

Anyone with knowledge regarding White’s whereabouts is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 509-574-2500.
