Prosser picks new city administrator
David Stockdale has been picked as Prosser’s new city administrator.
Mayor Randy Taylor announced the appointment at the Jan. 26 city council meeting, and the council voted to confirm.
An employment agreement is expected to go before the council on Feb. 2.
“I am very excited for the opportunity to work with such great people and for a citizenry that cares so deeply for their community. I look forward to working together to carry out the goals and programs that will continue to make Prosser a great place to live, work, volunteer, play, and visit,” Stockdale said in a statement.
He currently works for Lane County, Ore., and is expected to start the Prosser job on Feb. 22.
He beat out two other finalists for the position.
“The process was very thorough and I know that Dave is the best choice for our city. We are all excited for him to get started and become a part of our community,” Taylor said in a statement.
