Every 15 Minutes program warns students about the dangers of drinking and driving

Kennewick police Officer Stan Howard gives a mock field sobriety test Friday to Southridge High School student Jazmyn Chavez during a skit performed as part of the Every 15 Minutes program at the school. The program warns about the dangers of drinking and driving and has been given to seniors in Kennewick High Schools for more than two decades. The title is a reference to a statistic from the early 1990s that said someone died in an alcohol-related car crash every 15 minutes. That statistic been revised to one death every 53 minutes.
