BC trucker injured when rig overturns near Vantage
The Washington State Patrol blamed speeding for an accident that injured a Canadian truck driver near Vantage shortly afternoon Nov. 19.
Chia-Wei Cheng, 33, of Coquitlam, B.C., was taken for treatment at Quincy Valley Hospital after his 2015 Freightliner semi and trailer overturned as he attempted to turn from Highway 26 onto Highway 243, about two miles east of Vantage.
The vehicle rolled onto its left side and blocked northbound 243 until it could be cleared.
Cheng was charged with second degree negligent driving.
