Bachelor in Paradise's Kylee Russell and Aven Jones Split Again

Bachelor in Paradise season 9 couple Kylee Russell and Aven Jones have called it quits for good.

"I'm glad to finally close that chapter," Kylee, 29, began on the Tuesday, June 23, episode of the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast. "Aven and I are no longer together. I think I'm OK with that, actually, I know I'm OK with that."

She continued, "We're just both two very different people who want two very different things in life, and we clearly tried for three years. No ill will towards him at all, but I think it's time to officially close that chapter and move on and actually find my person."

Kylee and Aven, 32, started dating during BiP season 9, which aired in 2023, after exchanging flirty social media messages before arriving on the beach. Despite a sweet onscreen love story, the pair went their separate ways that December.

"Following our relationship announcement yesterday, I want to thank my God, he didn't allow me to live another day in the dark," Kylee wrote via Instagram, one day after the twosome made their social media debut as a couple. "In the last 24 hours, I have been grasping with the fact that one of the most important relationships in my life dissolved due to multiple infidelities."

She continued at the time, "This is not just a show but my real life and for the foreseeable future, I will be in a time of healing and trying to put the puzzle pieces of my life back together. Please respect my privacy at this time."

While Aven never publicly addressed the accusations, Kylee confirmed in July 2024 that she and the Bachelorette alum had given their romance another shot.

"In the beginning, he was doing the work. He was going to therapy, ensuring that my move to San Diego went smoothly," Kylee recalled on the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast at the time. "He was there for me, he was providing for me, it was great."

On the one-year anniversary of Kylee and Aven's BiP meeting, they reached a crossroads in their rekindled relationship.

"We had a big tough conversation with him expressing to me, ‘Hey, I'm doing all of this. I want this to work but I still feel like you're holding back. I don't know if this is going to work anymore,'" she said, noting that Aven subsequently ended their romance. "I don't really want to speak for him but basically what he had to say was some days he felt he would wake up and he would think he had such great hopes for us, think we would get to where we needed to be to have a forever future together. Other days he woke up and he was just like, ‘There's much damage that I have done personally, I don't think our relationship will ever recover from that.'"

Despite their 2024 breakup, Kylee and Aven found their way back to each other the next year.

"Everything was amazing," she said on Tuesday of their reunion. "We moved in together, life was truly starting to unravel, and I saw myself having a future with him, having babies, getting married, doing all the things. And then as we kind of progress, and when you live with someone, it's definitely very eye-opening, and we just realized we wanted different things."

For Kylee, the latest breakup came down to raising a future family.

"I'm a big family girl. I love the East Coast and Aven has created a life for himself in San Diego," she acknowledged. "I respect that because San Diego is truly such a beautiful place, but when I raise babies, I want to be close to my family … and that's not something that he was wanting. That's a big life decision that we needed to agree on, and unfortunately we just couldn't come to terms with that."
