Catch Mr. Movie at film festival Oct. 16-17 in Richland

I’ll be attending and playing host at the eighth annual Tri-Cities International Film Festival (TRIFI) at the Uptown Theatre in Richland on Oct. 16-17. The annual event offers a bunch of short films and a few movies in the fantasy, sci-fi and horror genres.

I’ve caught a few of the best of the shorts, and they’re mind-boggling good. My favorites are one about a bear missing his family, a kid obsessed with spiders, a family curse involving a windmill and a mortician and his heart. There are a dozen others of equal interest and quality, a couple of documentaries, some feature films, and a panel for writers and another for budding filmmakers.
