Hop to it! Easter egg hunts around Tri-Cities for April 2023
It’s time to unpack the Easter baskets and get the kids ready. But don’t start decorating eggs just yet, there are many Easter events across the Tri-Cities offering egg hunts.
Easter weekend events
April 7
▪ A glow-in the-dark option will be from 8 to 10 p.m. April 7 at Howard Amon Park. The public event is geared toward LGBTQ+ teenagers and adults. Eggs will have glow sticks and participants will receive glow bracelets, but flashlights are still recommended for safety. Prizes will be available.
April 8
▪ Kids up to fifth grade can attend the Kennewick First United Methodist Church egg hunt at 9 a.m. Hunts are separated by age and other games are available while kids wait.
▪ Faith Tri-Cities is hosting a free “Easter EGGstravaganza” from 10 to 11:30 a.m. April 8. Beyond an egg hunt, the event will also include bounce houses, a donut walk, face painting and more.
▪ The 14th annual West Richland Easter Egg Hunt will begin at 10 a.m. April 8 at the Bombing Range Sports Complex through Benton County Fire District 4.
▪ Hillview Baptist Church is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt starting at 10 a.m. for kids through fifth grade, along with other games.
▪ Another free Easter egg hunt for children with intellectual or developmental disabilities will be at Columbia Point Marina Park April 8. Through collaboration between the Arc of Tri-Cities, Ben Franklin Transit employees, the local Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Just Serve volunteers and United Way, hunts will be offered for specific age groups at specific times.
- Ages 1-3: 10:30 a.m.
- Ages 4-7: 10:40 a.m.
- Ages 8-12: 10:50 a.m.
Attendees should bring their own baskets. Registration is available online, as there are limited spots.
▪ Another glow-in-the-dark option will be held at Kennewick Nazarene Church at 7 p.m. For kids up to fifth grade, the indoor hunt includes glowsticks, prizes and candy.
April 9
▪ West Side Church in Richland is hosting a Resurrection Egg Hunt for kids up to fifth-grade starting at 10:45 a.m.
