Details on Benton Franklin Fair & Rodeo prices, parking and events

The Benton Franklin Fair & Rodeo runs Aug. 25-29 at the Benton County Fairgrounds in Kennewick.

• Theme: The Best Week of Summer.

• Hours: From 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Aug. 25-28 and from 9 a.m. to midnight Aug. 29.

• Admission: Daily admission is $11 for adults in advance and $13 starting Aug. 25.

Admission for seniors 65 and older and kids 6-12 is $5, and children 5 and younger are admitted for free.

A fair-bus combo rate is available. (See “Ride the bus” below).

Season passes are $50 for adults and $20 for seniors and kids.

Kids Day is Aug. 26. Admission is $2 for kids ages 6 to 12.

• Ride the bus: Ben Franklin Transit shuttle buses will leave from Kamiakin High School and Lampson Stadium in Kennewick, the TRAC facility and the 22nd Avenue Transit Center in Pasco, and Richland’s Knight Street Transit Center and the Tulip Lane Park & Ride each hour on the hour from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and every half-hour from 5:30 to 11:30 p.m.

They’ll depart the fairgrounds hourly starting at 9:30 a.m. and every half-hour starting at 5:30 p.m. The last bus will leave at midnight.

Dial-A-Ride is available from 9 a.m. to midnight. One-day advance reservations are required by calling 509-735-0160.

Cost is $1.50 each way, or $4 for a family of up to five people.

A rate of 75 cents each way is available for seniors and the disabled with a transit ID card.

A fair-bus combo ticket is $13 for adults and $7 for seniors and kids.

• Parking: $8 daily and $32 for a season pass.

• Fair parade: 10 a.m. Aug. 22 in downtown Kennewick.

• Demolition derby: 6:30 p.m. Aug. 24 at the HomeStreet Bank Arena. Reserved seating is $15.

• Wrangler Champions Challenge: 7 p.m. Aug. 25 at the HomeStreet Bank Arena. Covered reserved seating is $15 and general reserved seating is $10, not including fair admission.

• Horse Heaven Roundup Rodeo: 7 p.m. Aug. 26-29 at the HomeStreet Bank Arena. Reserved seating is $10, not including fair admission. General admission seating is free with fair admission.

• Concerts: 8 p.m. on the Hayden Homes Stage, with a 1 p.m. matinee show Aug. 29.

The lineup is Chevelle on Aug. 25; Dwight Yoakam on Aug. 26; British Export on Aug. 27; Gary Allan on Aug. 28; The Marshall Tucker Band on Aug. 29. Sabrina Carpenter will perform at 1 p.m Aug. 29.

Reserved concert seating is $15, not including fair admission, but tjhe Chevelle, Dwight Yoakam and Gary Allan shows are all sold out. General seating is free with fair admission.

• Davis Carnival: From 2 to 11 p.m . Aug. 25, from noon to 11 p.m. Aug. 26-28 and from noon to midnight Aug. 29.

All-day wristbands are $28 before Aug. 25 and $33 on Aug. 25-29.

• Where to buy tickets: Tickets for the fair, demolition derby, Wrangler Champions Challenge, Horse Heaven Roundup Rodeo and concerts are available at www.bentonfranklinfair.com, at the Kennewick Ranch & Home, by phone at 509-222-3749 and at the fair office. Carnival wristbands also are available in advance, and so are parking passes.
