Aug. 19 event explores mass incarceration with poetry, music, art
The New Direction Project is presenting a salon-style evening of spoken word, music and art Aug. 19 in Richland.
The event, called Unconfined, aims to stimulate conversation on mass incarceration and its impact on society and communities of color.
It starts at 8 p.m. and Confluent Space Tri-Cities, 285 Williams Blvd.
Cost is $10.
The New Direction Project is a transitional home for men who are newly released from serving time behind bars.
