‘Summer at the Reach’ event set July 23 in Richland

The Reach museum in Richland plans a “Summer at the Reach” event on July 23.

It’ll run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is being put on with help from Ben Franklin Transit and KNDU.

The family-friendly event will include a food demonstration from Chef Kristin Johnson of Martilla’s Kitchen Co., a lesson about sun and the summer night sky from the Tri-City Astronomy Club, a presentation from KNDU meteorologist Monty Webb and a nature hike on the Reach animal trail.

Swampy’s BBQ food truck will be on hand selling lunch.

Admission is $4 for adults and $3 for kids. Children age 5 and younger will be admitted for free.

The Reach is at 1943 Columbia Park Trail.
