Boat Race Weekend to perform July 8 in Richland

The Spokane-based indie/alternative band Boat Race Weekend will perform July 8 at the Emerald of Siam, 1314 Jadwin Ave., Richland.

Music starts at 9 p.m. Cover is $5. The show is for all ages until 10:30 p.m.

Badland Nomad and Marceline also will take the stage.

Boat Race Weekend is made up of Jay Orth, Evan Kruschke and Collin Price, who all grew up in the Tri-Cities.

The band’s name is a nod to the hydroplane races that take over the Columbia River each summer.

Their musical influences come from Brand New, Orchestra and Blink 182.

Their performances earned them a place on Music Connection’s Hot Live and Unsigned Bands of 2015.
