Drums Along the Columbia set July 5 in Pasco
Some of the best drum and bugle corps in the world will gather in Pasco on July 5 for Drums Along the Columbia.
The event starts at 7 p.m. at Edgar Brown Stadium. Doors open at 6 p.m.
A stop on Drum Corps International’s Summer Music Games Tour, the event will feature groups from Washington, Oregon, California and Utah.
The Tri-Cities’ own Columbians will be among them.
“Drums Along the Columbia is a wonderful opportunity to see some of the finest drum and bugle corps in the world in a fun, family-friendly environment,” said Russ Newbury, coordinator. “The achievements of these exceptional young performers are remarkable and quite spectacular.”
Other groups set to perform are Thunder from Spokane, Cascades from Seattle, Oregon Crusaders from Portland, Santa Clara Vanguard from Santa Clara, Calif., and Battalion from Salt Lake City, Utah.
Jon Ladines will perform the national anthem.
Concessions will be on sale, and memorabilia will be sold.
General admission is $15 in advance and $18 at the door, reserved seating is $20 in advance and $30 at the door, and a family rate also is available.
