Kestrel Vintners in Prosser holding cancer survivors celebration June 5

Kestrel Vintners in Prosser is holding a celebration June 5 in honor of National Cancer Survivors Day.

The event includes free food and live music. It will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the lawn in front of the winery, 2890 Lee Road.

Guests will be able to purchase wine by the bottle. The public is invited.

“We have two cancer survivors on our small staff, and this day is a celebration of the battles we fight against cancer and a ‘thank you’ to the caregivers, family and friends who helped us along the way,” said Martino Trost, Kestrel’s general manager, in a statement.

“There will be great food, music and wonderful wine. Hopefully, we will have plenty of sunshine and that will make for a perfect day,” he said.
