Acclaimed Americana/folk band The Stray Birds to perform May 26 in Prosser
The acclaimed Americana/folk band The Stray Birds will perform May 26 at Brewminatti, 713 Sixth St., Prosser.
The show starts at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m. Cost is $20.
Evie Ladin also will perform.
The Stray Birds, formed in Lancaster, Pa., includes Maya de Vitry on vocals, guitar, banjo and fiddle; Oliver Craven on vocals, guitar, resonator and fiddle; and Charles Muench on vocals and bass.
The band’s 2012 self-titled debut was named one of NPR Music’s Top 10 folk/Americana albums. The Stray Birds are clearly “players with chops” and “songwriters with a fierce command of their craft,” the outlet said.
The band’s follow up album, Best Medicine, was released on Yep Roc Records in October 2014.
The band has performed on NPR’s Mountain Stage, at the Philadelphia Folk Festival, Kerrville Folk Festival and Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, among other events.
The Prosser show is for all ages.
