ACT to hold auditions for musical production, performance groups in May

The Academy of Children’s Theatre is holding auditions this month for an upcoming musical production, as well as for acting, improvisation and choral performance groups.

The company plans a production of Junie B. Jones, The Musical in the fall.

Auditions for that show are May 23-24. Actors should prepare a 45-second song from any musical except Junie B. Jones.

An information night is at 6 p.m. May 17.

The performance group auditions start at 6 p.m. May 21.

Middle school students may audition for the improv group Sparks and the acting ensemble Troupers.

High school students may audition for the improv group Spontaneous Combustion, the acting ensemble Troupe and the choral performance group Encore.

Children in grades three to eight may audition for the choral performance group Stardust.
