Chiawana High School presents comedic drama ‘Acting Out!’

Chiawana High School in Pasco is presenting the comedic drama Acting Out!

Performances continue at 7 p.m. May 13, 19 and 20 at the school’s black box theater, 8125 Argent Road.

Written by Paul H. Johnson, the show “focuses on a group of teens who decide to practice their final scenes and monologues when their theatre teacher doesn’t show up. Presented with humor, honesty and emotion, the scenes reveal the varied personalities of their authors, from the popular cheerleader to the former runaway,” a news release said.

Ally Gocus, an advanced drama student, is directing. Verna Schwillke is the costume adviser.

Chiawana drama teacher Todd Westendorf is the producer, and the stage manager is Aaliyah Tabor.

The cast includes Javier Marias, Kyle Bishop, Alex Mears, Miguel Rodriguez, Jared Thomasson, Christina Fangman, Natasha Jensen, Crystal Goodrich, Crissy Wooldridge, Claire Coffelt, Rodrigo Alcantar, Avery Shaffer, Nick Morrell and Briana Plewman.

Tickets are $4 in advance at Chiawana’s ASB office, or $6 at the door.
