The Lewiston-based El Pelican will perform at 10 p.m. April 16 at The Roxy Bar and concert venue in Kennewick.
A progressive rock duo, El Pelican features Brian Baugh on guitar and Joe Hightower on drums. The group “implements hints of indie, grunge, rock and blues with a pinch of reggae,” a news release said.
The band’s debut album is Self Aware Universe.
The Montana-born, Idaho-raised musician Andru Gomez also will take the stage. A longtime bartender, “Andru’s stage show is not all that different from his bartending. With the use of clever live guitar looping, subtly crafted lyrics and bluesy harmonica, there seems to be much more happening than a one man show,” the release said.
Gomez has opened for acts including El Ten Eleven, Horsefeathers, Scott Weiland, Toyboat Toyboat Toyboat, The Jesus Rehab, Finn Riggins and Bart Budwig. He also is the guitarist and singer for rock group Astronaut and The Trees.
The Roxy is at 101 W. Kennewick Ave., Suite 201
