Concert honoring late Tri-City musician Tom Gnoza set April 2 in Richland

A concert honoring late Tri-City musician Tom Gnoza is planned April 2 at Emerald of Siam, 1314 Jadwin Ave., in Richland.

Proceeds from the Tommy G Memorial Concert will go to Hanford High School’s Special Olympics team.

Music starts at 5 p.m.

The concert will feature Gnoza’s mother, Mary Lou Gnoza, a noted jazz musician, plus a host of others, including Steve Haberman, Emily Martin, Katie Smith, Rockin’ Yotes, Brian Holbrook, 3rd Half, Dogbite Harris and Uncle Dirt Nap revisited.

A drawing also is planned. The grand prize is a Washburn electric guitar hand painted by local artist Michael Nemo.

Gnoza, 49, of Richland, a singer, songwriter and instrumentalist who became a luminary of the Tri-City music scene, died unexpectedly in his sleep last year.
