Conservation photographer to give Richland presentation
Renowned conservation photographer Dave Showalter will show photos and tell stories in Richland to inspire conversation about the importance of shrub steppe habitat and public lands in Eastern Washington.
Audubon Washington and its chapters, including the Lower Columbia Basin Audubon Society, are sponsoring a series of presentations by Showalter to help protect greater sage grouse as the Bureau of Land Management makes plans covering shrub steppe habitat for the next 30 years.
Showalter will speak at 7 p.m. March 18 at the Reach center, 1943 Columbia Park Trail, Richland. There is no cost, thanks to the sponsorship by REI. Copies of Showalter’s book, Sage Spirit: The American West at a Crossroads, will be available for sale and signing.
