Benton City plans ‘Dancing with the Stars’-style fundraiser March 12
A fundraiser in the style of the TV show Dancing with the Stars is planned March 12 in Benton City.
The event, called Benton City Thinks We Can Dance, is organized by Mayor Linda Lehman to raise money for the city’s revitalization committee.
Community leaders will be paired with dancers and face off for a mirror ball trophy.
Lehman also will perform an exhibition dance with partner Glenn Hernando of Tri-Cities DanceSport of Washington, and Annie Garcia will sing.
The event starts with a 6 p.m. social hour, followed by the competition at 7 p.m.
It’s at the St. Francis Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church, 1000 Horn Drive, in Benton City.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
