Walla Walla Symphony concerts to feature ‘Anne Frank’ opera

The Walla Walla Symphony will present From Darkness to Light on Feb. 27-28 at the Gesa Power House Theatre, 111 N. Sixth Ave.

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 27 and at 3 p.m. Feb. 28.

The program will feature pieces by Ernest Bloch, Robert Convery and Hana Szenes, and the centerpiece will be The Diary of Anne Frank, a one-act opera by Grigori Frid.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for students and $5 for youth 18 and younger. They’re available at 509-529-8020 and www.wwsymphony.org.

The program is part of the Music 360° initiative, which “explores the impact of music through different lenses,” according to symphony information.
