Venue changes for live letter reading Feb. 18 in Walla Walla
The venue for the performance of Fame! (They’re Not Going to Live Forever) has been changed to the Walla Walla Community College Performing Arts and Science Center. It originally was planned for the Gesa Power House Theatre.
The show will start at 7 p.m. Feb. 18.
The Seattle-based Letters Aloud is presenting the show, in which “intimate, private letters, written by some of history’s most famous (and infamous) people, are read aloud by actors in front of a live audience. Through the personal letters audience members will come to understand the high price of fame and how it has both evolved and devolved over the years,” a news release said.
The show features live musical accompaniment and a slide show.
Admission also has been changed to pay-what-you can, and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Brian K. Senter Fine Arts Scholarship Fund.
