The February show at The Gallery at the Park in Richland will feature two sets of works that capture the community in different ways.

One set offers an up-close and personal view through the drawings of a cadre of urban sketchers.

The other offers a bird’s-eye view through the lens of a celebrated aerial photographer.

The new Allied Arts gallery show runs from Feb. 2-26. An artists reception is from 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 7.

Urban Sketchers: Tri-Cities is part of the international Urban Sketchers network started by Gabriel Campanario, a Seattle Times artist and blogger who’s known as the Seattle Sketcher. The local chapter, which has about 60 members, meets regularly to sketch in spots from parks to coffee shops.

Aerial photographer David Wyatt is a longtime Tri-City resident and owner of Loftics Aerial Photography in Kennewick.

His portfolio includes sweeping shots of everything from the cable bridge to the Columbia River Gorge.

Wyatt holds a Master Aerial Photographer designation from the Professional Aerial Photographers Association International.

The Gallery at the Park is open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays.

It’s at 89 Lee Blvd.
