New holiday ballet to debut Dec. 18-19 in Walla Walla
The world premier of the new holiday ballet Holly Claus: The Ballet of Dreams is planned Dec. 18-19 at Cordiner Hall on the Whitman College campus in Walla Walla.
Showtime is 7:30 p.m.
More than 85 local youth will perform. Sophia Rolph, who has studied at Joffrey Ballet School, will play Holly Claus.
The ballet is based on the bestselling books The Legend of Holly Claus and Holly Claus: The Christmas Princess.
It features an original libretto by author Brittney Ryan. Idalee Hutson-Fish is the director and choreographer.
Tickets are $5 for kids 5 and younger, $10 for youth ages 6 to 18, $20 for adults, $40 for a group of four, and $50 for a reserved seat and pre-preformance reception with Ryan. They’re available at www.hollyclaus.brownpapertickets.com, at Earthlight Books in Walla Walla and at the door.
