Christmas tree lighting set Dec. 12 in Pasco

The Downtown Pasco Development Authority will hold its annual Christmas tree lighting at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 12 at Peanuts Park.

The event is put on in collaboration with several community groups, including Consejo Latino, New Horizons High School and the city of Pasco. Event coordinator Martín Valadez said the event will “highlight the Pasco community’s desire to come together as ‘one Pasco’ and celebrate the holiday season.”

Valadez said community leaders will speak at the event. Free refreshments and entertainment also will be provided, and food trucks also are scheduled.
