The acclaimed Latin band Milonga will perform Dec. 11-12 as part of Hanford High School’s Guest Artists Series 2015-16.
Show time is 7 p.m. both nights at Hanford High, 450 Hanford St.
Milonga has opened for acts from Los Lobos to Sir Mix-A-Lot. It includes Hanford music teacher Chris Newbury on drums.
“This quirky group presents an amalgam of different Latin music styles, including hip-hop laced cumbia, disco funk merengue, reggeton, bomba, mariachi rap, flamenco and even the cha cha. It is difficult to find another band whose sound and personality matches the caliber of Milonga’s,” a news release said.
