Acclaimed brass quintet to perform in Pasco on Dec. 1
The acclaimed Axiom Brass Quintet will perform Dec. 1 in Pasco.
Community Concerts of the Tri-Cities is presenting the show. It starts at 7:30 p.m. at Faith Assembly, 1800 N. Road 72.
The show, Classical Christmas, “harkens back to the tradition of true, intimate chamber music, transporting audiences by the fireplace in their living rooms enjoying music with family and friends,” a news release said. “They will enjoy some of the most beautiful music ever composed for the Christmas season, from Medieval chants to unforgettable carols; from a Baroque concerto to the swing of Duke Ellington.”
The Axiom Brass Quintet is a major force in brass chamber music, the release said. It’s the only brass quintet in 27 years to win the Chamber Music Yellow Springs Competition and the only American ensemble to win the Preis der Europa-Stadt Passau in Germany, the release said.
It’s also won numerous other competitions and awards and performed around the world.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for students. They’re available at the door. Season tickets also are available.
