Columbia Center mall kicks off holiday activities Nov. 21 with parade, tree lighting

The annual Tri-Cities Holiday Parade and Grand Tree Lighting is Nov. 21 at the Columbia Center mall in Kennewick.

Santa Claus will appear at the event, which kicks off at 9 a.m. in front of the mall with a parade.

A tree lighting and activities follow by Sears.

The Santa Photo Experience will be set up at the mall near Sears until Dec. 24.

The Caring Santa program, which offers a “carefully managed” photo experience for kids with special needs and their families, is offered from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Dec. 6 at the mall. Participants must register in advance at www.simon.com/caringsanta.

The Pet Photo Night program, in which pets can take part in the Santa photos, will run from 7 to 9 p.m. Dec. 13. Reservations can be made at www.simon.com/petphoto.

The Salvation Army’s Giving Tree also will be set up in the food court from Nov. 20 to Dec. 24.

And the mall plans live holiday entertainment from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 2, 9 and 16 in the food court.
