‘Christmas Belles’ opens Nov. 27 in Prosser
Valley Theater Company’s holiday production finds the funny in, well, a holiday production.
The comedy Christmas Belles, which opens Nov. 27 at the Princess Theatre in Prosser, centers on a church Christmas show that may just derail thanks to obstacles from food poisoning to feuding sisters and a family secret.
“I like that it’s a comedy that has more to it than just heartwarming (aspects),” said Cyndil Davis, the director, in a statement. “Heartwarming is a little over done.”
Still, it has heart.
“Christmas is all about family and fun. We see it in this show, for sure,” said cast member Suzanne Kephart of Sunnyside.
The show is recommended for those ages 8 or older.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 27-28 and Dec. 4-5. The theater’s Green Room opens an hour before curtain, with local wines and microbrews available by the glass.
Tickets to the play cost $12 for adults and $10 for students and seniors 65 and older.
They’re available at www.theprincesstheatre.net, Adventures Underground in Richland, Patnode’s True Value Hardware in Benton City, Sixth Street Art Gallery in Prosser, Bleyhl in Grandview and Melange in Sunnyside. They’re also available at the door.
