The Reel Rock 10 Film tour stops in Richland on Nov. 20.

The event features several acclaimed short rock and alpine climbing films.

“Not only do these films show the very best of the best, they also represent the human spirit and the willingness to overcome overwhelming odds,” a news release said.

REI, Tri-City Court Club, Intermountain Alpine Club and www.therockclimbingguide.com are co-sponsoring the event.

Cost is $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Tickets usually sell out. Advance tickets are available at REI in Kennewick.

The event is at Battelle Auditorium on the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory campus.

The films include:

▪  Line Across the Sky, 35 minutes, featuring Alex Honnold and Tommy Caldwell attempting the first-ever alpine ascent of Fitz Roy Ridge in Patagonia.

▪  A six-minute film tribute to Dean Potter, a climber and adventurer who died in an accident in Yosemite in May.

▪  Dawn Wall, 15 minutes, centering on Kevin Jorgeson’s and Tommy Caldwell’s final push to free climb the Dawn Wall in Yosemite Valley.

▪  Showdown at Horseshoe Hell, 20 minutes, recapping the 24-hour ultramarathon of climbing.

▪  High and Mighty, 20 minutes, featuring highball bouldering.

Money from the event will go to the Intermountain Alpine Club, which is donating funds to the Candy Mountain Preserve project.
