Columbia Chorale presents ‘Sixties with a Twist’ on Nov. 8

Tri-Cities Columbia Chorale is presenting a concert Nov. 8 featuring music from the 1960s.

The show, Sixties with a Twist, will include songs from Born to Be Wild and Unchained Melody to Chapel of Love and Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In.

It starts at 3 p.m at Kennewick First Presbyterian Church, 2001 W. Kennewick Ave. Refreshments will follow.

Admission is free, although donations will be accepted.

“It’s going to be fun. These are songs that a lot of people remember. And for young people, it’s an opportunity to hear music their folks might have enjoyed,” said Linda Garner, part of the group.

The chorale formed more than 50 years ago, and it currently has about 50 members. The group performs two shows a year — in the spring and fall.

It’s directed by Steve Haliday, with accompanist is Cheryl Cannard.
