Hammer dulcimer player Lawrence Huntley to perform Oct. 10 in Richland

Hammer dulcimer player Lawrence Huntley will perform Oct. 10 at the Emerald of Siam in Richland.

The dinner show runs from 5 to 8 p.m. There’s no cover.

Huntley started studying percussion at age 10, joining a drum and bugle corps in Illinois. He’s been playing hammer dulcimer since 1982, performing throughout the Northwest and appearing on albums and music for film and television, a news release said.

His repertoire includes traditional music and rhythms from different cultures, along with original melodies.
