Gary Louris to perform Oct. 10 in Prosser

Gary Louris will perform at 8 p.m. Oct. 10 at Brewminatti in Prosser.

The singer-songwriter and guitarist “has built a deeply compelling body of music whose artistry and integrity has won the loyalty of an international audience and the respect of both critics and his peers,” according to information from The Roots Cellar, which is putting on the show.

Louris is best known for his work with The Jayhawks and “is one of the most acclaimed musicians to come out of Minnesota’s teaming rock scene,” the information said.

He has worked with musicians including The Black Crowes, Dixie Chicks, Counting Crows, Joe Henry, John Hiatt, Lucinda Williams, Roger McGuinn, Maria McKee, Nickel Creek, Carrie Rodriguez, Tift Merritt, The Sadies and The Wallflowers.

Doors open at 7 p.m. Cost is $20.

Brewminatti is at 713 Sixth St.
