The Friends Festival of Music is planned Oct. 2-3 in Walla Walla.
Presented by Columbia REA, the event raises money for Friends of Children of Walla Walla.
It kick offs with a 1980’s dance party at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 2 at Gesa Power House Theatre. The Seattle band 80s Invasion will perform.
The event continues from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 3 at Heritage Park with family-friendly activities. Izzy the Camel will be on hand, along with Recess Monkey and a Whitman College basketball clinic.
A reception follows at 4:30 p.m. at Public House.
“From there, community members will be able to enjoy music from eight different venues located throughout downtown Walla Walla beginning at 7 p.m. Each venue will feature a different genre of music,” a news release said.
