Local art, music and food will be showcased Sept. 25 during the annual Night with the Arts at Washington State University Tri-Cities.
The free event is from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Richland campus.
“Our students come from different socioeconomic backgrounds and cultures, so their artwork is also diverse, interesting, enriching and thought-provoking,” said Doug Gast, associate professor of fine arts, in a news release. “We will have painting, photography and mixed medium works of art on display. It is important for students to display their works of art because it gives them the opportunity to hear different points of view from the community.”
Performances by The Spirit Animals, Tri-Cities Big Band, Mad Ruby, Columbia Chorale, Mike Edmondson of the Classical Guitar Society of the Tri-Cities, the WSU Tri-Cities Orchestra Club, Urban Poets Society and Blue Amber Belly Dancers are planned.
