Auditions for Walla Walla youth orchestra planned Sept. 13-14

The Walla Walla Symphony Youth Orchestra is holding auditions this month for its 2015-16 season.

The auditions are from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 13 and from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 14 in the Whitman College music building.

Students in grades 8 to 12 who play strings, winds, brass or percussion and participate in their school music programs are invited.

Each audition lasts 5 to 7 minutes. Students should prepare two minutes of material representing contrasting styles.
