Carousel of Dreams opens in Kennewick

The long-awaited Gesa Carousel of Dreams is open at the Southridge Sports & Events Complex, off Highway 395 in Kennewick.

The carousel, a $3.7 million project, has 45 restored horses, all carved in 1910 by Charles Carmel.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays through Sundays.

Cost for a 2.5-minute ride is $3 or $10 for four rides or $20 for 10 rides.
