Popular Grammy-nominee country star to perform at Benton Franklin Fair

Lee Brice, one of country music’s most consistent hitmakers, will take the stage at the Benton Franklin Fair Thursday Aug. 27.

He’s the second main stage performer to be announced after Christian rock band Skillet. It performs Wednesday Aug. 26.

Reserved seat concert tickets for his performance go on sale at 8 a.m. Friday, May 1, and will be available at bentonfranklinfair.com for $33 to $66, not including fair admittance.

General admission seats to the main stage concerts comes with entry to the fair.

Brice has 12 million career streams, and his No. 1 Country Radio hits include “Memory I Don’t Mess With,” “One of Them Girls,” “I Hope You’re Happy Now” with Carly Pearce, and “Rumor.”

Another of his fan favorite’s is his Grammy-nominated hit, “I Drive Your Truck.”

Garth Brooks, Jason Aldean and Kenny Chesney have recorded his songs, and he’s performed on TV shows ranging from The Bachelor and The Voice to Miss USA. He’s won multiple Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association awards.

Skillet

Skillet has been putting out award-winning music for 30 years.

The band that began with husband-wife team John and Korey Cooper in 1996 is known for Christian rock, metal and alternative rock influenced by the grunge scene.

While the married pair is all that remains of their original team, they have continued to tour with new band members and win numerous awards, including two Grammy nominations and a Billboard Music Award, and have had three albums in the Top 5 of the Billboard 200.

They have regularly attracted 10 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and their hit “Monster” had been called one of the most streamed rock songs ever.

Their 12th album, “Revolution,” is led by the single “Unpopular.”

Reserved seats are on sale for $33 to $66, which does not include fair admission.
